Each person will be given a kit with all supplies needed and/or tools requested. We only cut hair at the moment, no washing or styling. If you are not trained in certain hair textures or haircuts that isn't a problem! Let us know and we'll be sure to direct clients that want haircuts that you're trained in! The client can have their comb/brush/pick/clips after their haircut. We typically have an assistant to help set up, sweep, and direct clients to your chair. We do cut hair on basic chairs, not hydraulic chairs at the moment. We are constantly fundraising for a mobile unit to have more of a salon work environment!

You are welcome to bring your favorite tools if you prefer! We currently have 2 sets of good tools, an the others are in working condition. If you would like to use ours, please let us know and I'll reserve the best ones in order of who asks to use them.
For every person you cut, you will need to put fresh gloves on, new cape, and new comb. All scissors, clippers, guards, and trimmers will need to be sprayed down with Clippercide and wiped in between each person. We have soft and typical paper towels to wipe away hair, water drips, and to clean tools. Please do not bring razors or dust brushes. No item should be reused on another person without proper disinfection. Keeping everything disposable and sanitary will help to prevent the spread of disease. If you have a cold, we ask that you please wear a mask or cancel.
If you are interested in volunteering for an event, the *only* item you would be responsible for is a picture/copy of your NYS barber/cosmetology license. You may send that directly to us and we will print out. All licenses are kept in a folder in the supply box, in case of an inspection. Please make sure you have a picture on your license.
Haircut Volunteer Sponsorship:
Bring a team of 4-5 barbers &/or hairstylists and 1 assistant
Financial Sponsorship:
Assistant Level: $225 to cover the costs of one event
Junior Stylist Level: $300 to be split between the volunteers as a very small stipend for their work ($50/volunteer).
Master Stylist Level: $525 to cover both our event costs and volunteer stipend
